Kern Company is a family operation, founded in 2003 by Kerry Kern.
After 20+ years in the industry, he’s passed the reins to his sons Korey & Kelley.

Founder, part owner
Kerry is the founder and part owner of Kern Company. He has been in Construction his whole life. When he wasn't working on other people’s projects, he was constantly working on his own house. He was a union carpenter for almost 10 years before going back to school at Dunwoody College for drafting and estimating. He worked as an estimator at a large commercial drywall company for 11 years before deciding to start Kern Company in 2003.
When he isn't working, you can find him playing guitar, fishing, hunting, or cruising the streets in his classic truck.

Owner/project manager
Korey is a part owner/project manager. He is the older of the two brothers. He was a union carpenter for 11 years before deciding to rejoin the family business. He grew up going to help his dad at side jobs and various projects around the house. Korey and his wife Michelle have 5 kids. When he’s not busy with the family, he likes to spend his free time hunting and fishing.

Kelley is a part owner/project manager. He worked as a union carpenter for 11 years before deciding he wanted to make a change and went back to work for the family business. He also grew up helping his dad with construction, both on job sites and projects around the house. He was always finding scraps of wood and loose nails leftover from his dad’s projects to make things of his own. Kelley worked with his dad every summer growing up.
When he isn't working, he can be found playing with his kids in the backyard or tinkering with something in the garage. He enjoys spending time outdoors, and one of his favorite places to be is in the boat at the cabin, fishing.
